Hosting and security: Cloudflare

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Every request from your browser goes through Cloudflare’s network. To deliver the pages and protect the website from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the requested page, your browser type, and the time of the request.

Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how fast pages load. It records the page you visit, the referring website, your browser type, your country, and page-load timings. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not track you across websites. I only see aggregated statistics.

Embedded content

Some pages include content from other companies. Your browser connects to these companies when it loads the page, so they receive your IP address and browser details. Their own privacy policies apply.

Links to other websites send no data until you click them. After you click a link, the other website’s privacy policy applies.

Email

If you email an ombosoft.com address, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message to my Gmail inbox. I use your email address and message only to reply to you. I keep the correspondence for as long as it is useful, and I delete it if you ask me to.

I process the data above because I have a legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website, in understanding how many people visit it, and in replying to your messages (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and the UK GDPR).

Data transfers

Cloudflare, Google, Apple, and itch.io can process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. These companies use legal safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to protect transferred data.

Your rights

This website is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
